Il nostro peregrinare mi porta ai piedi di una delle scale più famose di Vicenza, che per troppi anni ho abbandonato.
Dal basso sembra una salita difficile ma non lo è; si inerpica sul colle portandoti nel cuore di un quartiere benestante ma apparentemente trascurato. Molte ville e case che un tempo riflettevano l’importanza dei proprietari ora riposano sornione, ancor più placide grazie a questa nebbiosa atmosfera autunnale.
Le foglie cominciano a cadere e una foschia bianca e pesante scende su tutta la città. La mia meta diventa piazzale della Vittoria, teatro di molte serate giovanili, che regala una vista mozzafiato sulla città.
Quanto tempo passato dall’ultima volta che il mio sguardo è andato oltre quella balaustra.

From the bottom it looks like a difficult climb, but it is not; climbs up the hill taking you in the heart of an affluent neighborhood but apparently in bad shape. Many villas and houses that once reflected the importance of the owners now rest crafty, even more placid thanks to this misty autumnal atmosphere.
The leaves begin to fall and one white and heavy mist descends over the city. My destination becomes “Piazzale della Vittoria”, the scene of many youthful evenings, which offers stunning views over the city.
